Tooling Manager (Footwear)

– Works closely with the brand tooling department to ensure the realization of their design brief, and to make sure that the specifications of designs are accurate & producible; adds comments, suggestions, ideas to designers to their shoe designs

– Prototypes from initial concept to final confirmation inclusive of molds

– Checks & evaluates tech package prepared by tooling engineers & team on shoe projects before sending to factories/ suppliers

– Performs project management on a wide range of follow up activities: mold drawing process, costing, bottom part production, component making and process, prototyping, development trials, testing and transitions to production

– Coordinates with cross functional departments of Company. For example, coordinate with Development/ Commercialization Team for the tooling tech pack transferring or coordinate with production team to ensure the smooth/ efficient of shoe production at factories

– Coordinates with factories and suppliers in sourcing and engineering process (quality controlling, fit testing, material development testing, wear testing, etc.).

– Trains, develops, and manages the tooling engineers for both individual & company growth and success

– Consults and sets up individual target, team target to meet the shared goals of whole Company Operation goals

– Shares supervisory responsibilities with management team

– Performs other duties as assigned

– Ensures shoes (shoe bottom parts) are well engineered as well as meeting design aesthetic requirements

– Ensures the new models to achieve technical requirements and delivery times
